The film Dark Landings -the Short won many awards. Best Short Film, Best Director for Sandra Scragg, Best Actor for Maggie Reed, Best Screenplay for Mark Sawyer, Best Director of Photography for Ryan Purcell, and others. The short film is, of course, only the beginning. It is intended to lead into Dark Landings, which is an episodic series of two seasons of ten episodes each that have already been completed.
SEASON ONE includes the characters and stories of Dark Landings The Short Film and many and much more! Skye and her family come under attack by violent radicals led by the hardcore Joel Matthews, Roe and her team scramble to save lives, which leads to — other violent radicals enter the Dreamscape and attack Skye with an evil equivalent of Witness. This group builds truck bombs and plots assassination in a try for a state-wide takeover and wholesale executions of opponents. Another radical, disgruntled by failure, takes an assassin’s aim at Skye and makes the biggest mistake of his life when the same bullet that hits Skye also impacts Roe.
SEASON TWO Of Dark Landings includes a group of criminals who make one of the greatest mistakes it’s possible to make — they try to kidnap, rape, and murder Skye’s daughter Crissy. Add to this a reclusive mountain monk who miraculously saves a hiker who fell off a cliff, Skye’s husband Steve showing up in shocking and wonderful fashion, and then… Dark Marty and Good Artie — twin brothers who seem the Jekyll and Hyde of American crime. Dark Marty kills hookers, tries to rape and kill Detective Moon, succeeds in capturing Mac, but… You don’t threaten Roe’s detectives without eventually meeting her one-on-one yourself!
One of our main goals Dark Landings is to draw attention to the Argentine children of the assassinated “dissidents” from the 1970s who childless military families adopted. The grandmothers of these children, depicted in our poster at the top of the page, still protest in front of the government offices in Buenos Aires every Thursday to find their missing grandchildren (“Los Desaparecidos”).

After completing the Dark Landings short film, our secondary goal is to create an engaging, valuable, and exciting episodic. This includes dynamic good and evil characters, the better elements of a police procedural, and is a historical and political drama that addresses numerous cultural and social concerns. It will also incorporate mysterious and spiritual aspects. Dark Landings is not a narrative of revenge but a tale of prevention, justice, and possibly karma.
At age 7, Bry Troyer, on a farm in Kansas, cast his horse and his 4-H pig in his first movie or musical, I Sing About Pigs. Since then, he has transitioned to making movies for people, co-writing, and producing the recent feature, They Reach. Bry continues consulting and line producing on other features, writing and producing short films while waiting for COVID-19 to wrap up. He hopes that some of them never leave the Internet’s dark corners.
The truth is that he appreciates Wally for being so patient with him as a stumbling, too wordy, novelizing shambles of a sort-of apprentice. Wally Lane is credited as one of Dark Landings’ screenwriters, and we are honored to have him on board as a mentor and consultant at every stage of the process.
