Mark Sawyer writes as F. Mark Sawyer
and called this company “F.M. Sawyer Productions.”
The reason: A websearch for ‘Mark Sawyer’ usually brings up pages of
Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer before he shows up.
Mark says:
“I have lived a bizarre but mostly wonderful life. Even in high school,
I never imagined I’d live, work, and visit so many wonderful places in the world.
For sure, though, all this travel and the many different jobs and experiences
have helped me as a screenwriter.”
Dark Landings – the Short
won awards in its own right, but it is actually a ‘Proof of Concept’ for the series.
The opening episodes of the series Dark Landings are complete,
and unique and exciting outlines and plots for the first two seasons are ready.
The Mythos Murders
is an exciting take on the Cthulhu Mythos of H. P. Lovecraft meeting meeting 21st Century Police.
About it, Mark says,
“I love ‘The Mythos Murders in part because it is not the same old thing.
I always want us to have something new,
parts that are different and fun, in everything that I ever create.”
Mark has:
— Lived for from months to many years in Japan, South Korea, Norway, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, Germany, and has visited or lived in forty-seven of the fifty US states.
— Visited many of the sites considered ‘Holy’ by Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Muslims.
— Studied history extensively, both academically and privately.
— Been a movie and television buff his whole life.
— A great appreciation for hikes, motorcycles, shooting, and martial arts.
— Been active in screenwriting since 2007, when he was fortunate enough to meet Screenwriting Instructor Extraordinaire Wally Lane.
— Been a Machinist, a Motel Manager, a Military Policeman, a Teacher, a Counselor, a Traveling Wholesaler, a Union Rep, and more.
— Won awards for his Screenplays and for other writings.
They are pictured above, and there is more about them (and Mark) on the ‘About Us/ Contact Info” page, but on the home page it needs to be said: Without wonderful Director and Casting Director (and essentially the ‘Showrunner’) Sandra Scragg, and the wily, always-positive, seemingly omniscient Producer Bry Troyer, none of Mark’s productions would have been completed. Kudos to them in every way.
